Cox Design and Consult were asked to evaluate the concept of installing a Jockey chiller to enable energy savings at the London Aquatic Centre.

The Concept was from the London Development Corporation after discussions with CDP client Engie. The concept was to save energy and to make the LAC more efficient for general use rather than the Olympic Games venue it was.

Calculations are available to prove that the insertion of a Jockey Chiller will save energy, not only that the chiller is smaller than the existing Ammonia Chillers, but the primary pumps that currently run the system will be able to be down rated.
